Sri Lankan national cricket team in New Zealand for the 2006/07 season

The Sri Lankan national cricket team tour to New Zealand in the 2006/07 season took place from December 7, 2006 to January 9, 2007. The international cricket tour was part of the 2006/07 international cricket season and included two tests , five ODIs and two Twenty20s . All three series ended in a draw, the Test and Twenty20 series 1–1 and the ODI series 2–2.

prehistory

Both teams previously played in the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy , in which Sri Lanka was eliminated in the preliminary round and New Zealand in the semi-finals. However, Sri Lanka was able to win the preliminary round game against New Zealand with 7 wickets. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2005/06 season in New Zealand .
