The tour of the Sri Lankan national cricket team to Pakistan in the 2019/20 season took place from September 27th to October 9th and from December 11th to 23rd, 2019. The international cricket tour was part of the 2019/20 international cricket season and included two tests , three ODIs and three Twenty20s . The test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2019-2021 . Pakistan won the Test Series 1-0 and the ODI Series 2-0, while Sri Lanka won the Twenty20 Series 3-0.
prehistory
It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2017/18 season in the United Arab Emirates . Following terror threats, the tour was about to be canceled after numerous Sri Lankan players had already refused to travel to Pakistan. After a review of the security precautions and the guarantee that the measure will be aligned with that of visits by heads of state, Sri Lanka decided to take it anyway. On November 14, 2019, it was announced that Sri Lanka will also do a test series in Pakistan. It is the first test series in Pakistan since the attack on the Sri Lankan national team in Lahore in 2009 .
