Aldo Montano (born November 18, 1978 in Livorno ) is an Italian saber fencer . Montano was Olympic champion in the individual competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens . With the Italian saber team he won the silver medal. In 2011 he won the world title in the individual competition.

He comes from a large fencing family, with one exception all saber fencers. His grandfather was Aldo Montano (silver medal Olympics 1936 and 1948 , world champion 1938 ), his father is Mario Aldo Montano ( Olympic champion 1972 and silver medal 1976 and 1980 , world champion 1973 and 1974 ). His uncles were Mario Tullio Montano ( Olympic champion 1972 and silver medal 1976 ), respectively Carlo Montano (silver medal Olympia 1976 in foil) and Tommaso Montano (silver medal Olympia 1976 ).
