Bennett H. Henderson

Bennett H. Henderson (born September 5, 1784 in Bedford , Virginia , † after 1817 in Summitville , Tennessee ) was an American politician . Between 1815 and 1817 he represented the state of Tennessee in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Bennett Henderson was born in Virginia and later moved into the state of Tennessee, where he a member of President Thomas Jefferson founded the Democratic-Republican Party was. In the congressional elections of 1814 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC for the second mandate from Tennessee , where he succeeded John Sevier on March 4, 1815 . Until March 3, 1817 he was able to complete a legislative period in Congress . Then Samuel E. Hogg took over his mandate.

After leaving the US House of Representatives, the trail of Bennett Henderson is lost. The sources only note that he died in Summitville.
