William Marshall Inge

William Marshall Inge (* 1802 in Granville County , North Carolina , † 1846 in Livingston , Sumter County , Alabama ) was an American politician. He was the uncle of Samuel Williams Inge , the US MP from Alabama.

Career

William Marshall Inge attended schools in North Carolina and then moved to Tennessee where he continued his education. He studied law and then started practicing as a lawyer after receiving his license. Inge was elected as Jacksonian in the 23rd US Congress , where he served from March 4, 1833 to March 3, 1835. He then moved to Livingston, Alabama, in 1836, where he resumed his practice as a lawyer. He served in the Alabama House of Representatives in 1840, 1844, and 1845 .
