Berlinova
Berlinova is the name of a music festival that took place in Luckau every year from 2003 to 2005 .
This festival was unique in the Berlin area as it was not restricted to any musical genre and featured national and international artists. In contrast to the big festivals, the organizers set a comparatively low price, but rarely booked cost-intensive world stars, but limited themselves to bands with a loyal fan base.
Critics complained that the booking of bands from different styles resulted in too great a variety of styles, which suffered from the quality of the festival. The lack of support for festival visitors by the organizers was also criticized. In addition, the festival website has only been updated at irregular intervals in recent years and visitors have been insufficiently informed about the process.
The last Berlinova so far took place from 10. – 12. June 2005 took place, but had to make do with a significant decline in visitors due to the simultaneous Hurricane and Southside festivals and the associated lack of available artists. In 2006, the festival was supposed to take place on September 2nd in the Berlin Waldbühne , but was canceled due to the parallel fireworks competition Pyronale on the adjacent Maifeld and the resulting noise overlap. The announced lineup consisted of the bands Wir sind Helden , Tomte and Babyshambles .
