Constituency history

From 1949 to 1961 the constituency was called Bonn-Stadt und -Land . At that time it comprised the city of Bonn and the district of Bonn, which was dissolved in 1969 . The constituency has consisted of the city of Bonn since 1965. In the 1949 federal elections it was number 10, in the 1953 to 1961 elections it was number 69 and then up to and including 1998 the number 63. From 2002 the constituency was number 97 and for the 2009 federal election it was number 96.
