Chios ( Greek Χίος ) is one of the five regional districts of the Greek region of North Aegean (gr. Vorio Egeo , Βόρειο Αιγαίο). Its area includes the islands of Chios , Psara (Ψαρά), Andipsara (Αντίψαρα), the Inousses archipelago (Οινούσσες) and some small islands in the eastern Aegean . Until the administrative reform in 2010 , the area had the status of a prefecture, the Chios regional district sent ten members to the regional council, but beyond that it no longer had any political significance.

The main town is the city of Chios (Χίος ( f. Sg. )) On the island of the same name.
