Christine Beck (* 2. March 1974 as Christine Beck) is a former German football referee and football player . She was a DFB referee from 1999 to 2017 and was on the FIFA list from 2004 to 2014 . She whistled for TV Darmsheim.

Career

Christine Baitinger played for VfL Sindelfingen in the Bundesliga in the early 1990s . Since 1999 she has been whistling in the women's Bundesliga and in the men's Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . On May 26, 2001, she headed the women's DFB Cup final between 1. FFC Frankfurt and FFC Flaesheim-Hillen .

In 2004 she was appointed FIFA referee. In the same year she was used at the U-19 European Championship in Finland . Two years later she whistled at the U-20 World Cup in Russia . On March 10, 2007 she was in charge of the relegation game between Japan and Mexico in Tokyo as part of the qualification for the 2007 Women's World Cup .

Also in 2007 she whistled the final first leg of the UEFA Women's Cup between Umeå IK and Arsenal London . In June 2007 she was nominated by FIFA for the 2007 World Cup . In the preliminary round she led the games Norway against Canada and North Korea against Sweden as well as the quarter-final game Brazil against Australia.

In the 2011/12 season, Baitinger was voted referee of the year for the third time after 2005/06 and 2007/08.

In 2012 she was nominated for the U-20 Women's World Cup in Japan , where she directed the opening game between hosts Japan and Mexico.

Private

Christine Baitinger is a full-time administrative clerk at the Magstadt municipality . She and her husband Frank Baitinger have a son (* 2010).
