Divizia A 1972/73

The Divizia A 1973/74 was the 36th season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 12, 1973 and ended on June 19, 1974 . The game was closed from mid-December to the end of February ( winter break ).

Universitatea Craiova became a master for the first time .

mode

The league was increased by two clubs to 18 teams. These played against each other twice on 34 match days. The three last-place teams went into the Divizia B from. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, the goal difference decided .
