The Divizia Națională 1995/96 was the 58th season of the highest Romanian football league . It began on August 12, 1995 and ended on April 20, 1996 . The game was closed from mid-December to the end of February ( winter break ).

Champion was Steaua Bucharest for the fourth time in a row .
