Doizieux is a French municipality with 831 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Étienne and the canton of Le Pilat (until 2015: canton of La Grand-Croix ). The inhabitants are called Doizerains .

Doizieux is about 14 kilometers east of Saint-Étienne . Doizieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay in the north, Pélussin in the east, Véranne in the south and southeast, Colombier in the south, La Valla-en-Gier in the west and Saint-Chamond in the north-west.
