Graix is a French municipality with 146 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes in Canton Le Pilat (2015: Canton Bourg-Argental ) and part of the municipal association Monts du Pilat . The municipality is part of the Pilat Regional Nature Park . The inhabitants are called Grêlans .
geography
Graix is about 17 kilometers southeast of Saint-Étienne . Graix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Valla-en-Gier in the north and north-west, Colombier in the east, Thélis-la-Combe in the south and west and Le Bessat in the north-west.
