Pavezin is a French municipality with 354 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Étienne and is part of the canton of Le Pilat (until 2015: canton of Rive-de-Gier ). The inhabitants are called Pavezinois .

geography

Pavezin is located about 16 kilometers northeast of the city center of Saint-Étienne on the Couzon River . Pavezin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Longes in the north, La Chapelle-Villars in the northeast, Chuyer in the east, Pélussin in the south and Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez in the west.
