Dargoire is a French municipality with 521 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Étienne and is part of the canton of Rive-de-Gier .
geography
Dargoire is located about 25 kilometers northeast of the city center of Saint-Étienne on the river Gier . Dargoire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauvallon in the north and north-west, Saint-Romain-en-Gier in the east and Tartaras in the south and south-west.
