Ebersheim ( German and French , Alsatian Awersche ) is a French commune with 2,239 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). She is a member of the Communauté de communes de Sélestat .
The village is located at the confluence of the Ill and Giessen rivers , about six kilometers north-northeast of Sélestat . Ebersheim has a train station on the Strasbourg – Basel line of the SNCF .
