Ferbedo was a German manufacturer of toys , automobiles and motorcycles and had to file for bankruptcy in 2018 .

Company history

The art locksmith Ferdinand Bethäuser (1870–1923) from Konstanz founded the Ferdinand Bethäuser company in Nuremberg in 1898 and initially produced safes . Later the company moved to Fürther Straße 306 in Nuremberg- Doos and was renamed Ferbedo . Ferbedo stands for Fer dinand Be thäuser Do os. The company was based at Siemensstrasse 35 in Fürth.

Children's vehicles have been produced since 1914.

Motor vehicles

Between 1923 and 1926, a small three-seater passenger car with a single-cylinder built -in engine from Breuer was built. In addition, a small car was built between 1923 and 1924, a motorcycle with four wheels, so to speak, on whose saddle bench three people could sit behind one another. After the Second World War , a simple originated 1953-1954 scooters called R48 , via a two-stroke engine of Zündapp with 48 cc engine capacity and 1.5  hp possessed performance.
