The Haarlemmerbuurt ( German  Haarlemer Viertel ) is a residential area of ​​village character in the city center of Amsterdam , in the Dutch province of North Holland . Haarlemmerbuurt district

“A village in the city” ( een dorp in de stad ) is the name of the district. The main streets are the Haarlemmerstraat and Haarlemmerdijk, which were built on from around 1612.
