乙丑

The wood buffalo ( Yichou , Chinese  乙丑 , Pinyin yǐchǒu ) is the 2nd year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the second heavenly stem ( 乙 , yǐ , element wood and Yīn ) and the second earth branch ( zwe , chǒu ), symbolized by the buffalo ( 牛 , niú ), are characterized.
