The Langlade County is a county in the US -amerikanischen State Wisconsin . In 2010 , the county had 19,977 residents and a population density of 8.8 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Antigo , named after the Indian word for clear water .

history
Langlade County was formed in 1879 under the name New County as the original county from parts of the Wisconsin Territory. It was named after Charles de Langlade , a hero in the American Revolutionary War and later Indian agent of the US government.
