List of NBA players from German-speaking nations

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thabo Sefolosha, first Swiss in the NBA.

The list of NBA players from German-speaking nations includes all basketball players who were born in a German-speaking country or who are or have been citizens of a German-speaking country and who are or were active in the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a German-speaking nations here are Germany , Austria , the Switzerland , Luxembourg and Liechtenstein .

The first of the two lists contains players who have acquired citizenship through the principle of descent and / or place of birth , as well as naturalized (such as Shawn Bradley or Chris Kaman), expatriates (such as Detlef Schrempf), immigrants (such as Boniface N'dong) and emigrants (like Frido Frey and Chuck Hoefer, who only had American citizenship at the time of their NBA careers).

The statistical information is based exclusively on games of the regular season , the annual figures exclusively on the actual years of use, whereby "today" does not necessarily have to assume a current season use.
