Marnay is a French commune in the department of Vienne of 700 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Marnay belongs to the arrondissement of Poitiers and is part of the canton of Vivonne . The inhabitants are called Marnaisiens .

geography

Marnay is located about twenty kilometers south of Poitiers on the River Clouère . Marnay is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Aslonnes in the north and northwest, Gizay in the northeast, Saint-Maurice-la-Clouère and Gençay in the east, Magné in the southeast, Champagné-Saint-Hilaire in the south, Anché in the southwest and Vivonne and Château-Larcher in the West.
