Montdidier is a French municipality with 6255 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . It is the administrative seat of the arrondissement of Montdidier and belongs to the canton of Roye . Montdidier is located in the historic French countryside of Santerre in the valley of the Trois Doms river .
To the north is the small Montdidier-Fignières airfield .
