Pakistani national cricket team in New Zealand in the 2015/16 season
The series of matches of the Pakistani national cricket team in New Zealand for the 2015/16 season will take place from January 15 to 31, 2016. The international cricket tour is part of the 2015/16 international cricket season and includes three ODIs and three Twenty20s .
prehistory
classification
New Zealand had previously hosted Sri Lanka on a tour. Pakistan last played against England and should then complete a tour against India. However, since the Indian government did not agree to a tour against Pakistan outside of India and Pakistan insisted on its home right or on a neutral venue, this did not come about. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place a year earlier.
Nomination by Mohammad Amir
A controversial nomination for the Pakistani team went to Mohammad Amir , who was sentenced to prison for match-fixing after the Pakistani team's tour in England in 2010 and was then suspended for five years by the ICC . As a result, the ODI captain Azhar Ali and the all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez refused to take part in a training camp with Amir and immediately withdrew their opposition.
