Rezatkreis
The Rezatkreis (also written Retzatkreis ) with the capital Ansbach was one of the 15 districts of the Kingdom of Bavaria, founded in 1806, and is named after the river Rezat in the Franconian region.
location
In the north the Rezatkreis bordered on the Bavarian Mainkreis (from 1817 as Obermainkreis), in the east on the Pegnitzkreis and the Altmühlkreis (until 1810), in the south on the Bavarian Oberdonaukreis and in the west on the Württemberg Jagstkreis .
history
In 1810 it was enlarged considerably, including almost the entire Pegnitz district and the Principality of Bayreuth below the mountains. At the same time he lost the Crailsheim and Gerabronn regional courts to Württemberg. In 1817 the number of counties in the state was reduced to seven or eight (with the Rhine Palatinate). The Pegnitzkreis and the northern part of the former Altmühlkreis (from 1810 belonging to the Oberdonaukreis) were incorporated into the Rezatkreis. As the seat of the district government, Ansbach became the capital of the Rezat district. With the ordinance of November 29, 1837, the Rezatkreis became today's Central Franconia on January 1, 1838 , one of then eight administrative districts in Bavaria.
structure
In the Rezatkreis there were 36 regional courts (LG), 9 city courts (StG) and 18 power courts (HG) or lower court (UG), city and power court (StHG). A * means that the court was established in the year; † means that the court has been dissolved.
