Sri Lankan national cricket team in Pakistan in the 1999/2000 season
The Sri Lankan national cricket team tour to Pakistan in the 1999/2000 season took place from February 13 to March 15, 2000. The international cricket tour was part of the 1999/2000 international cricket season and included three tests and three ODIs . Sri Lanka won the Test Series 2–1 and the ODI Series 3–0.
prehistory
Pakistan previously played a tournament in Australia , Sri Lanka a tour in Zimbabwe . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Sri Lanka in the 1996/97 season . After the Pakistani team had conflicts with referee John Reid on the tour of Pakistan in Australia at the beginning of the season , the ICC World Association withdrew his intended nomination for this tour. Due to the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice, which was different than planned on March 17th, the third test was postponed for one day.
