The University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès ( French Université Toulouse-Jean Jaurès , until 2014 Université Toulouse II - Le Mirail , abbreviation UTM) is a university in Toulouse ( France ) where humanities (also distance learning ) can be studied.

history

The university was founded in 1969 when the venerable University of Toulouse was broken down into three new, subject-specific universities. It is located in the district of Le Mirail , from which it takes its name.

structure

There are 5 faculties ( units de formation et de recherche ) and 5 institutes. A film school is also affiliated with the university , the École Supérieure d'Audiovisuel .

Study opportunities

There are courses in languages, literary studies, philosophy, social sciences, mathematics and computer science. Is also offered translation and interpretation ( Langues Etrangères Appliquées / LEA ).
