The country's post office Berlin was from 1949 to 1954 under the label German Post and from 1955 to 1990 under the label German Federal Post Office Berlin 286 supplement brands from a total of 879 stamps out, which corresponds to approximately 32.54% of all overspent brands of Berlin.

Most of the surcharge stamps can be assigned to the series Jugend with 108 stamps, Welfare Care (106), Sport (29), Christmas (22) and Day of the Postage Stamp (5). Another 15 values ​​and one block cannot be assigned to a multi-year series and are listed in this article. All others are listed in the corresponding linked articles.

The stamps on the stamp block (Michel block no. 1) have a total value of 0.75 DM. However, the block was sold for 1 DM, which increases the actual surcharge by a further 25 pfennigs.
