The diocese of Córdoba ( Latin Dioecesis Cordubensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Córdoba in Spain .

Brief information

The diocese of Cordoba was established in the 3rd century . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Seville as a suffragan . The cathedral of the diocese is the famous mosque of Córdoba , which as the episcopal church is called Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción ("Cathedral of the Assumption into Heaven ").
