Breuil-sur-Vesle is a French commune with 342 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Reims and the canton of Fismes-Montagne de Reims (until 2015 the canton of Fismes ).
The municipality, originally called Breuil , changed its name to the current name Breuil-sur-Vesle with the decree N ° 2018-956 of November 5, 2018 .

Breuil-sur-Vesle is located about 25 kilometers west-northwest of the city center of Reims on the river Vesle , which borders the municipality in the north. Breuil-sur-Vesle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Romain in the north, Montigny-sur-Vesle in the north and east, Vandeuil in the south-east, Hourges and Unchair in the south, Magneux in the west and Courlandon in the north-west.
