The “Jazzecho” emphasizes the success of the jazz festival due to its quality and concentration on the essentials: “Jazz festivals don't always have to stretch over weeks and offer concerts by the dozen. The jazz festival in Neuwied has been proving for years that you can also be successful with a small program - four acts on two days. True to the motto: Small, but powerful! "

The “Europe Jazz Network” recognizes the high artistic level of the festival: “The Neuwied Jazz Festival has been one of the permanent fixtures of the German jazz landscape for decades and sees itself as a mediator of jazz and alternative musical norms. Over the past few years, a large number of famous and pioneering artists have entered the guest book of the Neuwied Jazz Festival. The Mahavishnu Orchestra, for example, was one of them, as well as Lester Bowie and Paco de Lucía, Jan Garbarek and John Scofield, Pat Metheny and the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Don Cherry and Archie Shepp and many, many more.
