The men's decathlon at the European Athletics Championships in 1994 was held on August 12 and 13, 1994 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .
The French Alain Blondel became European champion . He won ahead of the Swede Henrik Dagård . The Ukrainian Lev Lobodin won the bronze medal.

execution
The decathlon was carried out according to the same rules as today. The ten disciplines took place over two days.
- Day 1: August 12th - 100 m / long jump / shot put / high jump / 400 m
- Day 2: August 13th - 110 m hurdles / discus throw / pole vault / javelin throw / 1500 m
The rating was based on the 1985 point table, which is still valid today.
