List of master coaches of the Süper Lig
The list of the Süper Lig master coaches includes all coaches who have led their respective teams to a championship in the Süper Lig . The Süper Lig is the top division in Turkish men's football and began playing in 1959. Since then, 32 coaches have won 62 championship titles. The 32 coaches were 9 Turks , six Yugoslavs , four Germans , four Hungarians , three Brazilians , three British , two Romanians , one Italian and one Belgian .
The most successful coach in the history of the Süper Lig is Fatih Terim , who celebrated a total of eight championships. The first official master trainer was also the first foreign master trainer Ignác Molnár . The first domestic master coach was Gündüz Kılıç in the 1961/62 season . In the following season he managed to defend the title as coach. Brian Birch was the first to win three titles in a row, which his compatriot Gordon Milne repeated between 1990 and 1992. Fatih Terim surpassed this performance, between 1997 and 2000 he was four times Turkish champion with Galatasaray Istanbul . The oldest master coach was Branko Stanković in 1986 at the age of 64. The youngest master coach is Tomislav Kaloperović , who was 37 years old in 1969.
