List of number one hits in the US (2015)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of the number one hits in the US in 2015. It is based on the Hot 100 singles chart and the Top 200 album charts , which are determined by Billboard on behalf of the music industry . Streaming is also included in both lists . The chart week in the USA runs from Sunday to Saturday, the issue date of the chart lists is the last day of this week, i.e. the respective Saturday.

Until the beginning of July, the sales week that was used to determine the chart ran from Monday to Sunday. With the New Music Fridays project , however, the world association of the music industry IFPI decided to set Friday as the global day for the publication of new releases. As a result, the US also switched to a Friday-to-Thursday rhythm starting on July 10th. In the week before, not only were the data from the shortened week from July 6th to 9th counted, but the entire previous week from June 29th, which had already been evaluated once, was evaluated a second time and added to it. The chart week and thus the validity date of the charts was not changed, so that the sales week beginning on July 10th entered the charts with the date August 1st.
