List of castles and mansions in Radebeul
The list of castles and mansions in Radebeul shows the castles , pleasure castles / pleasure houses and mansions that are in the Saxon city of Radebeul or in the Lößnitz landscape that forms the city . All but two of them are under monument protection , only two former mansions are exempt from this special status due to the rededications and conversions during their longer history.
Around the buildings, with the gardens and parks, vineyard facilities, ancillary buildings or fountains, there are numerous monument conservation issues , works of landscape and garden design or monument conservation ancillary structures that are protected and described.
All property other than House Liborius , House Thieme and house Arnim lie in the conservation area Historic vineyard landscape Radebeul , the backbone of Radebeul with their steep slopes viticultural Großlage Loessnitz forms. The Radebeul viticulture is still carried out today from the two castles; the Hoflößnitz is located amid the location Radebeul Goldener Wagen , is urban winery while Wackerbarth in Radebeul Johannisberg seat of the Saxon State Winery. From the Radebeul east-west extension in the middle between the two castles is the Minckwitzsche Weinberg , whose vineyards are cultivated as part of the Radebeuler Steinrücken on a lease basis, while the property itself, like all other former mansions, is no longer a winery. The surfaces of the vineyard location Radebeuler Johannisberg eponymous estate Johannisberg are today Wackerbarth farmed. Other vineyard areas are cultivated, for example, by the members of the Radebeul steep slope winemakers, such as Krapenberg and Paulsberg by the Zitzschewig wine-growing community .
