Malviès ( Occitan : Malvièrs ) is a southern French municipality with 369 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the center of the Aude department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Limoux and the canton of La Piège au Razès ( Alaigne until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Malviègois .

location

Malviès is located on the southeastern edge of the Lauragais in the former county of Razès about 19 kilometers southwest of Carcassonne . Malviès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villarzel-du-Razès in the north, Saint-Martin-de-Villereglan in the east, Lauraguel in the south, Routier in the south-west and Brugairolles in the west and north-west.
