Pomas ( Occitan : Pomars ) is a municipality with 887 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in southern France in the Aude department . It belongs to the arrondissement Limoux and the canton La Région Limouxine (until 2015: canton Saint-Hilaire ). The inhabitants are called Pomasiens .

geography

Pomas is located about 15 kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Carcassonne on the Aude . Pomas is surrounded by the neighboring communities Rouffiac-d'Aude in the north, Couffoulens and Verzeille in the north-east, Saint-Hilaire in the south and east, Pieusse in the south and south-west, Cépie in the west and Montclar in the north-west.
