Magrie ( Occitan : Magria ) is a municipality with 528 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in southern France in the Aude department . It belongs to the arrondissement of Limoux and the canton of La Région Limouxine (until 2015: canton of Limoux ). The inhabitants are called Magriains .

geography

Magrie is located about 25 kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Carcassonne . The municipality is crossed by the Corneilla river. Magrie is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Limoux in the north, Cournanel in the east, Alet-les-Bains in the southeast, Roquetaillade-et-Conilhac with Roquetaillade in the south, Tourreilles in the west and La Digne-d'Aval in the northwest.
