Villarzel-du-Razès ( Occitan : Vilarzèl de Rasés ) is a southern French municipality with 103 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the center of the Aude department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Limoux and the canton of La Piège au Razès ( Alaigne until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Villarzelois .

Villarzel-du-Razès is located in the southeastern edge of the Lauragais in the former county of Razès about 13 kilometers west-southwest of Carcassonne . Villarzel-du-Razès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montréal in the north and northwest, Alairac in the north and northeast, Montclar in the east, Saint-Martin-de-Villereglan and Malviès in the south and Brugairolles in the west.
