The Feldberger Hütte nature reserve is a 473 hectare nature reserve north of the Breiter Luzin lake near Feldberg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . A hilly section of landscape shaped by the Ice Age with beech forests and small-scale wetlands in former dead ice forms is protected . Numerous barrows show human settlement in the area since the Stone Age . Over 1000 years ago, there was a Slavic castle on the Schlossberg. The legal determination took place on July 15, 1957 with two extensions in 1961 and 1994. The nature reserve is located in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature park and is classified as an FFH area and a bird sanctuary under EU law .

The current state of the area is rated as good. The old trees show a great diversity of species. Heavily protected species such as forest birds , Turkish lily , broad-leaved orchid and avian orchid occur. Lesser spotted eagle , crane as well as black and middle woodpecker live in the area, as well as the tree frog , fire-bellied toad , garlic toad and pond and crested newt .

The southern part of the protected area is heavily used for tourism and is accessible via hiking trails. From the Reiherberg a view of the Feldberger Haussee and the city of Feldberg is possible.

The areas are partly owned by the Foundation for Environment and Nature Conservation MV.
