Röttgen (Lohmar)

Röttgen is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

Röttgen is in the east of Lohmar. Surrounding villages are Peisel and Hausen in the north, Höfferhof and Alfenhard in the northeast, Wahlen (zu Neunkirchen-Seelscheid ) in the east, Grimberg in the southeast, Naaferberg and Ellhausen in the south, Ungertz and Donrath in the southwest, Reelsiefen in the west and Höngesberg in the northwest.

In the southeast and south, the Naafbach flows past Röttgen, an orographically left tributary of the Agger . The Agger flows west of Röttgen.

history

In 1885 Röttgen had eight residents who lived in three houses.

Until 1969, Röttgen belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .
