The Scottish Football League Division Two was played for the 20th time in 1912/13 . After the introduction of Division One , it was also the twentieth edition of the men's second-highest football division in the Scottish Football League under the name Division Two .

In the 1912/13 season, 14 clubs competed against each other in a total of 26 matchdays. Each team played once at home and away against every other team. The 2-point rule applied . In the event of a tie, the clubs with the same number of points were placed equally. The championship was won by Ayr United , which rose to Division One together with Dumbarton FC . The league was increased by two teams before the start of the season with Dunfermline Athletic and FC Johnstone .
