In the second-highest division of men's football in Scotland , 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays in the 2006/07 season, which was played from August 5, 2006 to April 28, 2007. Each team played four times against each other team. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted .
The championship was won by FC Gretna , who also secured participation in the 2007/08 Premier League season . Relegated to the Second Division had Airdrie United to relegation, and Ross County . The top scorer with 20 goals was Colin McMenamin from FC Gretna.

Relegation
Participants in the relegation games were Airdrie United from this year's First Division, as well as the three teams from the Second Division , Stirling Albion , the Raith Rovers and Brechin City . The first round winners played in the final round for a place for the following 2007/08 Scottish First Division season .
