The Scottish Football League First Division was held for the 32nd time in 2006/07 as only the second highest Scottish league under this name. In the second-highest division of men's football in Scotland , 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays in the 2006/07 season, which was played from August 5, 2006 to April 28, 2007. Each team played four times against each other team. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted .

Relegation
