The Scottish Football League Division Two was played for the 37th time in 1935/36 . After the introduction of Division One , it was also the 37th edition of the men's second-highest football division in the Scottish Football League under the name Division Two . In the 1935/36 season, 18 clubs competed against each other in a total of 34 matchdays. Each team played once at home and away against every other team. The 2-point rule applied . In the event of a tie, the goal quotient counted . The championship was won by FC Falkirk , which together with the second-placed St Mirren FC to climb into the Division One secured.
