The Scottish Football League Division Two was played for the 62nd time in 1967/68 . After the introduction of Division One , it was also the 62nd staging of the men's second highest football division in the Scottish Football League under the name Division Two . In the event of a tie, the goal quotient counted . The championship was won by FC St. Mirren , who secured promotion to Division One together with second-placed FC Arbroath .
