The Scottish Division Two was the second highest football league within the Scottish Football League from 1893 to 1975 .
In the league played up to the 1900s ten teams, as a result, the championship was increased to 11, 12, 14, 18 and 20 teams. Like the number of participants, the number of promoters to Division One also varied .
After the end of the 1974/75 season, the league system in Scotland was changed. With the establishment of the Premier Division , the Second Division Scottish Division Two became the First Division .
