Sri Lankan national cricket team against Pakistan in the 2013-14 season
The series of matches of the Sri Lankan national cricket team against Pakistan in the 2013/14 season took place from December 11, 2013 to January 20, 2014 in the United Arab Emirates . The international cricket tour was part of the 2013/14 international cricket season and included three Twenty20s , five ODIs and three test matches . Pakistan won the ODI series 3–2, while the Test series and Twenty20 series ran out 1–1.
prehistory
The previous tours of the two teams, 2011 as a home tour in Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates and 2012 in Sri Lanka , were each dominated by the home teams. Before the test series, a day-night test was discussed between the two associations, but Sri Lanka refused. The 5th ODI and the 1st test served as a test run for the Officiating Replay System , in which a referee has direct access to the camera direction when making TV decisions. However, the system was not yet designed for this referee to make decisions. In the Twenty20 series, the two winners of the ICC Twenty20 Championship met each other, in which Sri Lanka was able to assert itself in first place.
