Two of Us ( English Two of us or two of us ) is a song by British band The Beatles in 1969. It appeared on the album Let It Be . The song was composed by Paul McCartney , but it is under the Beatles' usual copyright Lennon / McCartney .

background

In terms of content, McCartney describes the common preference with his wife Linda to go to the country and get lost there with intent. Linda McCartney later reported that they parked her car somewhere in the woods and Paul McCartney wrote Two of Us in the car while she was out for a walk. The mention of postcards in the song goes back to the couple's habit of sending each other many postcards.

Contrary to this representation, Two of Us has often been interpreted as a representation of the relationship between McCartney and John Lennon .
