Walworth County is a county in the state of South Dakota in the United States . The county seat is in Selby .
geography
The county covers an area of 1928 square kilometers; 94 square kilometers (4.98 percent) of it is water. The county is divided into two disorganized areas: East Walworth and West Walworth.
history
The county was founded on January 8, 1873 and likely named after Walworth County, Wisconsin , the home of the area's first settlers.
