Perkins County is a county in the state of South Dakota in the United States . The county seat is in Bison .
geography
The county has an area of 7487 square kilometers, which is about half the size of Schleswig-Holstein . Of this, 49 square kilometers (0.66 percent) are water. The county is bordered clockwise by the counties: Adams County, North Dakota , Corson County , Ziebach County , Meade County , Butte County, and Harding .
